China
Every time I travel to do a job in China I realize my lack of knowledge. We've heard about it, but how much do we really know about the country and its people?
My somehow stereotyped picture overflows with massive industrial complexes, countless blocks of houses, and endless factories surrounded by tall fences.
Besides the requisite Great Wall, pandas, and the Forbidden City, and other tourist destinations, how does the average resident get by in their daily life, and what do they do for leisure, to relax? During my trips, I tried to find the answers to some of my questions.
Fortunately I was able to explore the rich ancient culture and was lucky enough to experience some typical traditions still carried out today.
What struck me most – they delicately manage to activate both mind and body, creating a greater balance.
Nearly all activities include the mind, with consistent acknowledgment of the holistic benefits.
It really demonstrated and reinforced for me that pairing exercise with a healthy diet results in a clear and focused mind.
